sweet {E} | One Year {Madison, MS baby photographer}

Eloise came to see me at the studio recently for her 1 year session. She has changed so much over the past year! You can see her newborn pics here.

She was delighted in seeing me and her Mom “sneeze” over and over. You do what you have to do to get those genuine smiles!;)

Thank you {P} family for asking me to photograph your baby girl over the past year. She’s beautiful!

little lucy | 7 days new {The Newborn Studio, Brandon, MS}

Sweet little Lucy came to see me at the studio last week.

At only 7 days old, she was perfect during her session!

Love love love this little smile I was able to capture:D

No matter how many newborns I photograph, it never gets old! I am always in awe of these beautiful little miracles sent from God.

I blinked :: Happy Mother’s Day

Being a photographer, a lot of people will say, “Oh, I bet you have TONS of pictures of your kids!” And the truth is, I have not taken as many pictures of them as I used to. When my son was less than 6 months old, I had over 3,000 pictures of him. Three thousand. Fast forward a few years and with my business growing, I’ve been busier, and I have not taken near as many pictures of my own children as I should be taking. I think I probably have more iPhone snapshots than anything from over the past year! But yesterday, they were cooperative and let me take their pictures. (This hardly ever happens.) Yes, I had to bribe them with candy and gum;)…. but I was so pleased.

They gave me my Mother’s Day present…

Melt. My. Heart.

She’s 3 and 1/2 going on about 13.  She’s spunky, silly, goofy, sassy and just all around perfect.

And my sweet boy. I’m getting teary eyed right now, because he graduated from preschool today.

He was just a few months old, and then I blinked. Now he’s 5.
He’ll go to kindergarten this fall and will leave me during the days for longer than he ever has before.

I know he’ll be just fine… it’s me that I’m worried about!;)

Happy Mother’s Day to all moms out there!

You SHOULD be proud! Those are beautiful. Beautiful family. Happy Mother’s Day!

little miss & mr. photogenic {Brandon, MS children photogapher}

These two… let me just say, are two of the most photogenic kids ever. Ever! I photographed them last year and just had the best time capturing their little {BIG} personalities. And it was a pleasure to see them this Spring also.

She’s spunky and loves to pose. I don’t ever had to tell her what to do, she just lets her personality shine.

And this little guy… such a ham;)

They are precious together!

In a few months they will be welcoming a new little brother or sister, and I can’t wait to meet the new little one!

Thank you {S} family for choosing JRP again.

two years old {Brandon, MS child photographer}

Let me introduce you to Sawyer.

This little guy has been through so much. He was born with a diagnosis of Prune Belly Syndrome and kidney failure.
This past year, he received a kidney transplant (from his Dad!), had three other major surgeries and several stays in the hospital.

But you know what?

Today he turns two years old! He’s excited, can’t you tell?

What a little sweetheart he is. He flirted with me and giggled during his entire session;)

Happy Birthday Sawyer!
